Veritas is a public charter school owned and operated by
Seeds of Health, which was started 20 years ago to provide health and nutritional services to infants and their families. The leaders and staff of Veritas work tirelessly to provide a high quality, rigorous college-preparatory high-school program, serving a diverse student population from throughout Milwaukee. Seeds of Health also operates two other high schools and an elementary school, all of them offering city families a high-quality education.
The Milwaukee-based PAVE has partnered with Seeds of Health over the last three years in a variety of ways. Through its Capital Investments Program, PAVE invested in a loan refinancing on the facilities of Veritas and Tenor High School, one of the other Seeds of Health high schools. Seeds of Health’s founder and executive director, Marcia Spector, is part of the current cohort of PAVE’s leadership-development program for urban school leaders, the Johnsonville Fellows.
And most recently, PAVE has partnered with Seeds of Health to develop a summer learning program at Tenor and Seeds of Health's elementary school, combing rigorous academics with enrichment inside and outside the school building.
